Mrs. McKinney’s Fourth Grade class spent Wednesday celebrating the souls of the faithful departed on the final day of El Dia de Muerto! The day began at 8AM with Mass celebrated by Fr. Kevin and ended with a fiesta complete with tamales, pan, and plenty of sugar!

Congratulations to the Our Lady of Hungary Varsity Football team who went head to head with Mishawaka Catholic on Sunday at Marian High School and landed a fantastic victory of 33 to 0. A special shout out to Joey Barkowski for what should have been three nearly 50 yard touchdowns. Special congrats to the entire team including; Yordy Rios, Edwin Maldonado, Sergio Hernandez, DeKari Henderson, Joseph Barkowski, Roberto Ramirez Jr., and Mario Gallegos! Go Raiders!

A great time was had by all at the parish picnic at St. Patrick’s Park on Saturday! From 12PM to well past 7PM hot dogs, roasted corn and a smorgasbord of delicious foods filled the stomachs of all who attended. Although there was rain in the forecast, we could not have asked for a better day. By noon the sun was shining and the humidity was just right! Please consider joining us next year for another phenomenal opportunity for fun and fellowship!

Catechetical Sunday brought all of our school staff and Sunday catechists together for Mass! Fr. Kevin delivered a blessing for our teachers and aides at the 10AM English Mass while the 1:30PM Mass was graced with the Archbishop. A mixed choir of students and longtime members filled the loft and church with their voices.

New Banners for the School! In light of the upcoming canonization of Mother Teresa of Kolkata, the school has received two banners that are now on display in the main hallway to remind us that we are still within the Jubilee Year of Mercy! The year began on December 8, 2015, the anniversary of the Second Vatican Council and the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, and will continue through the Feast of Christ the King.
